I have changed my wi-fi (actually the old wifi collapsed whilst I was away) and wish to re-install an existing camera (Google Model GJQ9T) BUT I cannot get it to pick up the new wifi!
There is no 'factory reset' button.
My old Nest cameras reinstalled easily but this newish Google Home one wont! Why? How do I progress what should just be a simple wifi change??

Did you remove your cameras from the Google Home app before updating your Wi-Fi? If you did, that should also have performed a factory reset:

If you did not, you could try performing a factory reset manually (see the factory reset instructions after the restart instructions in the Help topic below). Hopefully you can then reinstall, though sometimes customers have problems if they did not first remove the camera from the Google Home app.

Yes, it is unfortunate that updating Wi-Fi settings isn't easier.

FYI - during a recent vacation my wifi crashed and had to be re-installed with replacement kit ... therefore none of my cameras etc were correctly removed from the Home App.
All cameras and equipment have now been successfully re-installed apart from one! Model CJQ9T which just does not respond to to any of my attempts to re-install it.
I have now given up and await more assistance!

Hi there,
Thanks for providing that information. Let me help you out. Just to confirm, what is the status of the LED light on the Nest camera? Do you have any error message when you connect it to the Nest or Google Home app? Could you please share with us a photo of your Nest Camera?
Below are the steps on how to upload a photo or video:
1. Hit reply or Start a new post.
2. Click Insert Image.
3. Choose an image source location.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions
Also, you can tap the "Drag and Drop" option. Maximum attachment is 5 MB.
I look forward to your response.
Best,
Edmond

Hey there,
Thank you for sharing the photo of your Nest Camera. The Nest Camera Indoor Wired has a tiny pinhole reset button on the back of the camera, located between the power cord and the camera neck. Just grab a paperclip or pin and press and hold that reset button for at least 12 seconds. Keep it pressed until you hear a countdown tone. Once the light turns blue, it's ready to be paired.
Let me know if that helps,
Best,
Edmond

Edmond ... thank you.
That works! Phew.
I had not spotted the little pinhole previously.
Set up completed.
