Replacement Nest Doorbell no live video

Josh2012

I recently replaced my old nest doorbell with a different one. It does not have any live feed video at all. I already have a nest subscription so I don't understand why this doorbell doesn't have all the features of my previous doorbell. Do I need a different account for each individual device? Why can't I just replace my old doorbell with the new one? If anyone knows how this works please let me know. Thanks!

If you replaced a 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell with a 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell, you should be able to access live video by selecting your camera in the Google Home app (or on the home.google.com website, or on a Nest Hub, if you have one).

However, if you have a 1st gen Nest Aware subscription, which applies only to specific 1st gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells, you will need to cancel that subscription and get a 2nd gen Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription; those subscriptions cover ALL 1st and 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure".

Without a subscription, you will only have access to event video history for the most recent 3 hours.
