Saving footage that isn't listed as an event

Hi,

I am unable to save footage recorded last night. If I scroll back I can see where it recorded the footage but it is not being listed as an event. I subscribed to nest aware this morning to see if this would help but hasn't. The footage is only about 30sec long.

If you want to access and save footage that is not part of a detected event, you need a "Nest Aware Plus" subscription, which provides 24/7 video history for 10 days.

If you have 1st gen cameras (those installed in the Google Nest app), you can access and save clips of non-events in either the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.

See this Help topic:

If you have 2nd gen cameras (those installed in the Google Home app), you CANNOT save clips of non-events except by using your phone's video capture software. However, if you are on the beta "Pubic Preview" version of the Google Home app, you can now "download custom length clips from any part of your video history":

(We are not on the "Public Preview" version, and so don't know how well this works.)

I'm using the Public Preview version of Google Home and saving clips up to 5 minutes in length from any non-event in the 24/7 time line is easy and it work great.   Just park the play head at the start of what you want to save and click on the SAVE CLIP button and the rest is straight forward.  On an iPhone it saves the clip to your Photos.

Amazing. Thank you both. All sorted. I have just used my phone's screen record function
