Slight video jitter during the first 3 seconds - battery mode only

I recently moved one of my Nest cameras off of a wired power connection to battery so I could relocate my camera to a better position.  I also purchased an additional camera and have it on battery mode at another location.

One thing I've noticed with my videos, is that there are 2 distinct pauses/skips during the first 3 seconds of any recording.  They are very slight, but definitely noticeable.  The video does a very quick pause/skip during the initial first second, then another smaller pause around second three.  The 2nd pause is very subtle...more like the image being refreshed for a split second.  The rest of the video after the 3 seconds is completely smooth.

This is happening on both battery powered cameras (purchased some time apart)...so I don't think it's a hardware unique issue to any particular camera.  I've also downloaded the clips from both cameras and the video playback on any device shows the same jitters...so it's inherent to the video itself.

This ONLY happens on battery mode.  When the cameras are plugged in to power and recording, everything is smooth.  It's almost as if on battery mode, the camera takes a few seconds to "warm" up and that results in these jitters...but then after the 3 second "warm up" period, it's ok.  When plugged in all the time, it's always ready and recording, so things are completely smooth.

Anyone else experience this?   Any solves? (other than switching away from battery mode and figuring out a way to get a permanent power connection?)

Hi chains007,

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry for the late reply.  Is it happening before you moved your Nest Cam outdoor or indoor (battery)? Have you tried restarting your Nest Cam outdoor or indoor (battery)? This keeps all your settings, and it should reconnect to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever becomes frozen, has trouble connecting to the internet, or isn’t working normally.

Check out this link for more information.
