Hello,
I've seen some other posts with this issue, but doesn't seem to have been fixed yet.
When it snows or rains, the floodlight will come on and off probably every 5 minutes. Plus, I get a notification as well. By the end of the rain or snow I typically have like 25 notifications and if it's night time the floodlight is on and off over and over. I'm sure the neighbors love this lol.
My question is the same as others have asked, is there anyway that a software update can be implemented to fix this? Or is the only solution to turn off the floodlight everytime there's a storm? I believe I have the newest software update currently.
Thank you

For years, our conventional motion detector floodlight has done the same thing in rain or snow storms. I don't know whether software can detect and treat snow and rain as non-motion events.

Hello everyone,
@JacobSaucier, thanks for posting here in the community. To confirm, have you tried changing the motion sensitivity from the floodlight settings under "What turns on the floodlight"? Your camera runs algorithms to process video and audio data so it can determine whether it detected something you might want to know about. Your Nest Camera is designed to analyze its video data for people, animals, and moving vehicles, and can recognize when the same people reappear. To detect anything besides a person, animal, or moving vehicle, your Nest Camera checks for general motion in the scene. It learns what's normally in its background view and looks for movement and changes. As a result, it can sometimes trigger not just for important things, but also for minor things like tree branches that sway in the wind. If you only need your Nest Camera to detect people, animals, or moving vehicles, it's recommended that you do not turn on this feature. Hit this link for more information.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Regards,
Emerson

Hi JacobSaucier,
I'm dropping by to ensure that everything is covered here. How's it going with your Nest Camera? Were you able to read the information and check the link I've shared? In case you have an update, you know where to find us.
Best,
Emerson
