I just installed a camera in my summer house. I have had two Nest Cams at my home for years. The thing I am wondering is - do I really need to pay for one more (and even more expensive subscription than for my existing two cameras) for my new camera? Is there no form of combo deal? Seems crazy to me ... just as crazy as the discovery that my old cameras can be handled in the Nest- and/or Home-app while my new one seems to only be possible to handle in the Home-app?

A Nest Aware subscription covers all of the Google Nest cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure" on the same Wi-Fi network. Unfortunately, Google Nest does not offer any package deals for Nest Aware subscriptions.
Also unfortunately, the 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells work only in the Google Home app and not in the Google Nest app. We discovered this to our surprise in Sept. 2021 when we added a battery camera, and have had to use 2 apps ever since.

Ok thanks - I have though noticed that you can see all cameras (old and new) in the Home-app - but I like the Nest-app better.
