Taking 4 days to charge Nest doorbell inside

We were getting prompts to charge the doorbell every 3-4 weeks.  We do not have it wired, so we bring into our house to charge.  About a month ago it did not prompt us. It just went dead.  It takes 3-4 days to charge and loses the charge in a week.

@Racer76

You could try contacting Google Nest Support to determine whether you need a warranty replacement, using the link and instructions in this post:

Went through warranty checker... not in warranty.

@Racer76

That's certainly disappointing. The battery doorbell has only been available since August 2021, so to hear your doorbell is already failing makes one wonder about the doorbell's design.

Hello Razer76,

It sounds like you're having trouble with the  battery on your Nest doorbell. I'm here to help you out! To make sure I can give you the best support, can you share the case ID that our support team gave you when you contacted them? That way, I can pull up your case and take a look into this for you.

Thanks for the help, @MplsCustomer.

I look forward to your response.

Best,
Edmond

There is no case ID... I went to warranty checker and not under warranty.

Hi there,

Thanks for sharing that info! Have you tried factory resetting your Nest doorbell yet? Here is a link on how to restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.

Cheers,
Edmond
