To transfer the old nest dropcam pro camera's to the new google home app you must first uninstall them on the nest app. Create a google home account. reinstall the dropcam's on the nest app and they will automatically transfer to the home google app. once done you will see the camera's on both apps and everything looks good.
I bought two new indoor wired generation 2 camera's which you install directly onto the google home app, no problem they work great
Here is the problem, I went to remove the dropcam pro's from the google home app, but they do not have a removal option, as the generation 2 have. So thinking you have to delete them in the nest app I go there and low and behold there are no camera's on the nest app anymore. Have no clue where they went.
So I thought I would try to install the dropcam into the nest app again but it will not allow it because the dropcam is now registered to my google account, not my nest account. I logged out and back into my nest account with no luck. Without removing the dropcam from the home google account to unregister them they become totally useless, I cannot reuse them at the lake which was the plan, plus they are still on the google home app which I want to delete because I'm not using them anymore on that account.
Google now has no way to reach a live help person, 3 days ago I was able to talk to someone on their help line but now the number is not supported.
This is definitely a google software interface problem, they have to change the software to allow a person to remove the older camera's with the same function as they do with the second generation camera's on the google home app. You must be able to unlock the camera's so they can be used elsewhere on the nest app.
Google since I cannot talk to you live anymore I hope you are reading this, your new interface software have glitches you have to fix before you loss to many customers.
Where do I go from here?????, Please advise

Hi keningalls,
I’m sorry for the trouble here. The 1st gen Nest Cameras and doorbell can only be paired in the Nest app, if you migrated your account because you got 2nd gen Nest Cameras which uses the Google Home app. If you want to view all your cameras you’ll need to set up your 2nd gen Nest Cameras in the same home structure as your Dropcam. Re-add your Dropcam to your Nest app to view its live video.
Thanks,
JT
