Unable to Setup Nest Camera on Macbook

I'm having trouble setting up my Nest Indoor Camera. I've attempted to setup via the Nest App for iPhone and the app displayed an error and asked that I setup via computer. I attempted to setup via Macbook and received this notification, "Nest Cam Setup (Macintosh) needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of MacOS. Contact the developer for more information." I do see the blue light turn on and stay on each time I've plugged it in. It's just not connecting to setup. My Macbook's software is updated, so is my iPhone. SOS!! I've attempted multiple times, restarted devices, and nothing is working. My Nest App already has other devices connected, so not sure why this camera isn't working.

I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, but I wanted to make sure that your issue was addressed. Do you still need help with this issue? Hey folks,

 

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration. 

 

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. how does the reply help with setting up? we clearly need a new downloadable which is compatible with 64 bits MacBook, do you have any solution for that?

You would need to use a non-macbook to install the device if the apps are not working.
