Very Slow if ever load times

I'm having multiple issues with my cameras not loading video in the home app.  

We have the Nest wifi and all cameras have good signal. ( our house is only 750 sq ft) It's when I go to view the video feed, either live or recorded that it takes foreeevvveeeerrrr to load.  This is even after clearing the app cache on my phone.  This has only been a recent issue within the last month or two.  Prior to this it was fine.

We did previously have cameras with the Nest app and never had issues with the camera feed loading.  It these new cameras through Google that is driving me crazy with the slow slow load times.  If it loads at all.. I usually get frustrated and say forget it.  Why bother having the camera if the video won't load. ???

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest cameras aren't loading video in the Google Home App.

 

To better understand the situation, I'd also like to ask a couple of questions:

 

  • Are you getting any error messages?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the cameras?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far besides clearing the cache? 
  • How many cameras do you have?
  • Is the Google Home app updated to the latest version?

Google you can keep posting your scripted troubleshooting scripts but I'm 100% sure you are aware of this issue for a long time. The internet is covered with these complaints so stop asking about WiFi every time someone tries to get a honest answer out of you guys.
