Video view

Hello!

I hope I can ask this to where it makes sense. I have the Nest Video Doorbell (wired) and I love it! The only issue I'm having is when someone rings the bell and I use the app to try and see who it is, the view on the camera is so close up, almost zoomed in,  all I see is my door and the handle. I can't see the individual.  However when I do just a view, to see the camera (no one has rung the bell...just looking), i see a good more wider view, it's zoomed out,  and I can see if anyone is at the door and see them fine.

Does this make any sense? I've checked settings and I don't see anything to change those views.  Am I missing something?  Any help would be appreciated.

Can you try to login using https://home.nest.com/, see  if the camera view changes when you ring the doorbell?

If it does not, I suspect there is a quirk in the app, and would delete , clear cache, and reinstall from scratch.

I assume you have tried reverse pinching to zoom out when in the app on your phone?

Thanks. I tried that. I rang the doorbell, then logged in. The view was what it was supposed to be, not zoomed in. But when I log into the app... No doorbell ring, I get the correct view. It's when I answer a notification of the doorbell ring, that's when it shows zoomed in. I can speak to the person at the door, but I can't see them. So it seems it's just the part of the app that allows interaction with the person.

I did uninstall the app and reinstalled it... No change. If someone is standing up by the door really close, I could kind of see them, but if they stand back, like most tend to do, I can't see them.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help
