WHY ARE MY NEW NEST CAM FLOOD LIGHTS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY NEST APP AND NEST AWARE SUBSCRIPTION?!?!

I only bought these thinking they’d be compatible and accessible with my NEST app, my NEST AWARE subscription and my NEST protection.

I like the 24 the monitoring and recording in which I pay for the 30 day history recording. This is false advertising. If it doesn’t work with NEST app, DON’T CALL IT A NEST CAM. Call it a GOOGLE CAM. I waited on these cameras thinking they were compatible. I would have just bought the older NEST outdoor cameras if I knew this ahead of time. Or changed up my entire system and went with a different line of security cameras with a different monitoring subscriptions. I already had the 3 NEST door bell, , 3 smart thermostats, one outdoor IQ camera, and all 13 NEST protects for 3 properties AND was going to purchase NEST for all 4 properties because the use of the NEST app was seamless and easy to monitor.

I thought the wait for new line of NEST outdoor cameras would be worth the wait, but instead VERY DISAPPOINTING. I think this is a law suit waiting to happen. If there is no plan for Google to make these new NEST cameras compatible with NEST app and NEST AWARE with 24/7 monitoring, please let me know ASAP so I may return all of them and just change out my system to something else. I just bought 4 to install one one of my properties. I have only installed two to see how they they work and and ease of if access on the app.

Disappointed that even on the Google home app two camera floodlights have issues. Only one flood light appears. Bother cameras appear but the second flood light will never show on app. Not going to bother installing other two since it will be the same issue as others on here have documented.

why does google think they can change something that works properly and screw an existing customer base? I HHHAAATTTEE the “new” clunky system. As soon as this subscription is up, bye! If you can’t make something better, leave it alone. You really smart people at google are apparently less smart than you think.

Hey folks,

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. I am more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry if you wish. Please let me know.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Will this be solved anytime soon?

I just bought these not reviewing these problems prior to this purchase. Now I feel completely scammed. These cameras are installed - but I'm willing to pull them down and fight this battle with the store I purchased them at. I CANNOT get the notifications to work. While the NEST AP alerts me EVERY time it sees a PERSON with a ring- the HOME APP does NOT. Notifications are absolutely ON. Critical notifications are on. The correct settings are set up.

Is there a "secret" to getting these notifications to go off on an iPhone? Otherwise - TOTALLY useless product.
