If you read the fine print then the Battery Outside Cam is not waterproof. Is the Cam with Floodlights waterproof? Thanks.

Hi pjglad,

The wired Nest floodlight has a weather-resistant rating  IP54.

Confucius say - sit or stand. Is the Nest Floodlight waterproof? Yes or No?

Confucius say define what you mean by waterproof. Waterproof means nothing. That's why JillG gave you the rating. There are water droplets, water jets, water pressure depth, ship deck water splashing, etc.

I think for your general uses, the cameras water resistance will be fine. But if you’re planning to have the camera be submerged in water or consistently exposed to water with little or no stopping, then you’ll likely have a problem. Water splashes and/or occasional rain will be fine for example.

So generally speaking, the camera is water resistant and not waterproof.

Waterproof with electronic devices would mean that it's impermeable to water, no matter how much time you put it in water.  So that's a big NOPE on waterproof. That's why they use ratings.
