Why can I see all of my cameras in the Google Home App but only one in the Nest App?

For our new Google Nest Camera (Battery), we can go to the Google Home app, select History and then Full History, select the event, click on Event Details, and then click on either the download icon or the ellipsis (...) in the upper right corer to select "Save clip to device" to save just the clip to our phone. We cannot, as on our older Google Nest cameras, go to home.nest.com to edit and save a clip.

Google Nest cameras and doorbells (such as the battery doorbell and camera and the floodlight camera) released starting in the fall of 2021 can be accessed ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website. Previous cameras' feeds can be viewed in the Google Home app, but their history and admin settings can ONLY be accessed in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.
Google Nest has posted its rationale for this strategy--along with considerable customer reactions--in these posts in blogs in this forum:

I have one Google "Nest Hub Max" camera that works on the Google Home App & Google Nest App & 2 x "Nest Cam Indoor Wired" that works only through Google Home App so would what you say above apply?

The "Nest Cam (indoor, wired)" is also one of the new Google Nest cameras released starting in the fall of 2021 that work only in the Google Home app.

How do you download a video clip from the google home app?

This is not correct. Because they sell the Nest Doorbell and Nest Hub together for the very purpose of being able to view your Doorbell when someone rings it. There is countless YouTube videos that demonstrate the Hub coming to life when the doorbell is rung.
