Why is there no way to only mute motion alert sounds on Nest doorbell?

I just bought a Google Nest wired doorbell, and was shocked to find that you can't mute motion alert sounds without muting ALL notifications from the app. I still want to hear ringing on my phone when people ring my doorbell, but don't want to be disturbed by a loud "ding" every time there's motion around my door (but I still want to see a notification banner), apparently this is not possible for a 2021 app from Google? Why is it I can only mute everything from the app, or nothing? Muting everything through iOS settings -> notifications -> disable sound defeats the purpose of the app since I can no longer hear people ringing my doorbell.

@KevinDFZ

It is possible to receive notifications just for pressing the doorbell.

We have two Nest Hello doorbells. In order to receive notifications on our phones for pressing the doorbell, we have Visitor Announcements enabled and Push Notification enabled under Notification Type.

When we want to receive notifications on our phones for Motion or People or Package events, we select those under Notifications, under the Zone (or under Activity if you don't have any zones defined)  for the doorbell camera. If we don't select any of these, then we only receive notifications for pressing the doorbell.  If I remember correctly, Google Nest enables all of these by default, so you may nave to unselect them.

This is all in the Google Nest app.

The key here is I want to receive notifications for motion, just not the sound. I want to only see a notification banner. For people ringing doorbell I want to receive both notification banner and sound.

Ah, I see.  I should have read your original post more carefully. I don't see any way--at least at the present time--to get banner notifications but NOT sound for motion events while still receiving both banner notifications AND sound when people press the doorbell.

Maybe another customer has figured out a way to do this.
