I didn't expect my wired Nest Doorbell Camera to go offline in freezing temperatures. The backyard's battery-powered security camera was on when the wired doorbell was off. Why?

Do you have the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell (wired)? If so, the operating temperature is –20°C to 40°C (–4°F to 104°F)
In contrast, the 2nd gen Google Nest Battery Doorbell--even when wired--does not do well in cold weather, as this Google Nest Help topic indicates:

We have three 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbells that do fine in Minnesota winters.

Hi everyone,
@bmfc1, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. At temperatures below freezing, the lithium-ion battery in your Google Nest Camera or Nest Doorbell won’t be able to charge. At temperatures between -4°F (-20°C) and 32°F (0°C), the battery can still power your device, but it won’t charge. It may also drain more quickly than usual. At temperatures close to -4°F (-20°C), your battery may have less than half the life that it has in warm weather.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer and gilleslibre.
Regards,
Emerson
