Wrong Event Alert

I recently purchased a Google Nest Battery Camera. The problem I’m having is that I only have the event set for people but it’s alerting for cats that come up to my back door at 2am. I have called three times and spoken to the Google representatives. The last one had me to zone for people but it’s still alerting to animals. Is there anything else I can try?
