Nest doorbell peeling and conectivity issues.

Hi, my Nest doorbell has started peeling and it looks terrible, also now giving me issues with connectivity when I get notified that someone is at the door, by the time it connects whoever rang the bell has gone.

Hi, can I use a USB extension cable to extend the nest charge cable. I would like use the nest charge cable to keep the camera powered all the time, but need to extend it. Not sure if I can use any USB extension cable.thanks
