If you cannot set the network name (SSID) and password on your new router/modem to the same values used on your old router/modem (this does not always work), then you need to factory reset your Google Nest cameras and doorbells and reinstall them, using either the QR code or the 6-character alphanumeric setup code. There is no other alternative. That's why for years we've written down and saved the 6-character alphanumeric setup code (printed on the back or bottom) for each camera and doorbell when first installing them.

I have done that using the numerical code which is all I have. What it is telling me is it cannot connect to the wifi. The ssid is different then the old wifi router but I used the same password. Do you think that changing the password will help?

I don't know why it's not connecting.

Hi @fitter,
Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're having some inconveniences connecting your cameras after updating your Wi-Fi network to the Google mesh system. I'm happy to help.
In order to determine the reason why you're experiencing this, please provide the information requested below:
If you have Nest Cameras, it's always recommended to remove them from the app and then factory reset them using the factory reset button included on the cameras, and depending on the model, as indicated in the article Change camera and doorbell Wi-Fi network provided by @MplsCustomer.
@MplsCustomer, thank you for your help providing the article needed for this scenario. It is really helpful.
Please keep me posted.
