Welcome to the grinder. Your google camera will never show up in the nest app because Google wants you to use the inferior and cumbersome Google Home app which lacks 90% of the features of the nest app. Now you can only download video clips Google deems "events", no more making your own video clips of your favorite or important moments. No more pesky "convenience" or being able to view your camera feed from the web, you can only do that through the google home app.

Same feedback as laurastreetradi.  Google really screwed us Nest users over when we bought new devices to add on.  Google Home stinks!  No excuse for implementing an inferior app & forcing us to use it!

Sorted it, sent the gen 2 camera back to Amazon, had a look on the internet and found one of the original NC1102GB cameras priced at £68.00. Placed the order it arrived today and within 10 minutes it was connected and streaming to my Nest app.

Hey folks,

Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app or available on https://goo.gle/3A7x7ug web app.

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A nest aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

Best regards,

Brad
