how do I set up my next camera on the next app instead of the google home app?

I do not like the google home platform and all my other cameras are on the next app.  How can I load to Nest.

If its one of the newer cameras you cant. You can only add device thru google home app

Unfortunately any new Nest cameras released in 2021 are no longer compatible with the Nest app. The situation is really quite negative as almost all buyers of the new cameras are not aware of the Google home app requirement. Really too bad because the Nest app is very well designed.

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration. 

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.
