indoor nest cam

We have a nest indoor and we heard from a friend that has the same Nest that our Nest will no longer be working as of March 2024? Is there anyway we will get an updated Nest to keep using?

What IS going away--on April 8, 2024--is support for Nest Secure (the alarm system that includes Nest Guard, Nest Detect, and Nest Tag) and for the older Dropcams (introduced in 2009). See this Google Nest blog post:

If you have a Dropcam that was on a Nest Aware subscription in March 2023, you should have received an email around April 7, 2023 about replacing it.

Those of us with 1st gen Google Nest Indoor Cameras, Doorbells, IQ Cameras, and Outdoor Cameras are NOT affected.

Google Nest is working to let us transfer 1st gen cameras and doorbells to the Google Home app, but that is only happening on a trial basis right now in the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app:
