Why Is it not possible to view footage on a PC from the new Nest Cam (battery) and Nest Doorbell (battery) despite having a nest aware subscription - Only shows older nest cam on Home.nest.com.

Am I missing something or is their a new way to display on PC

Unfortunately, you are not missing anything. You can only view the older Google Nest cameras on home.nest.com.

Unfortunately, you are not missing anything. You can only view the older Google Nest cameras on home.nest.com.

I just wanted to jump in real fast and thank you for your feedback. Please feel free to submit your feedback to us. I've put instructions for feedback below.

  1. Open the Google Home app

  1. .
  2. At the top right, tap your account.
  3. Tap Feedback 

and then

  1. tap the type of device you'd like to submit feedback for.
  2. To display available emails, in the "From:" section, tap the arrow on the right. Select your email address.
  3. In the feedback summary, write a brief description of your issue.
  4. Be sure to check the box for Screenshot and System logs.
  5. To submit feedback, at the top right corner, tap Send

Google Home delivers a pretty disappointing experience overall, especially for the latest Nest Cameras / Doorbells. I'll be returning both these products since Google is forcing users through this path. I'll also add the marketing material, even the packaging, is fairly misleading. Don't buy the Nest doorbell battery or nest indoor/outdoor camera battery.

I purchased a new nest cam and im trying to find a solution to view the cam from my PC. My doorbell is acessable from the nest web app, but not the new nest cam. Based off this post it appears there is no solution to this since there's no Google Home Web app.

 

@Targermagic 

There are some posts in this forum saying that Google intends to provide a web-based access next year.  I'm just another customer and so have no idea whether this will happen.
