nest cam battery

please help

i have wired google outside cam

i just got a battery cam , and i been trying to add it to my nest account and for any reason it doesn’t let me..

also i tried to do it via. google home app ..and my google account and nest app are together. and still doesn’t let me add it .

Google Nest decided that all of its new Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting later in 2021 would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website. We discovered this too (to our surprise) when we bought a battery camera over a year ago, and have been using 2 apps ever since.

Google Nest has a new website, https://home.google.com, where we can see a livestream of all of our cameras, old and new. It's still in beta or "preview" mode, so it's a bit flakey. No one seems to know whether they're going to add more functionality or not.

Google Nest also has announced an upcoming upgrade to the Google Home app as well; this is what they've said about it:

Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app like you may be used too. However, you can now use the Google Home web app to view your cameras and doorbells.

The new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.
