possible to replace the magnetic mount for the nest cam

Is it possible to replace the magnetic mount for the nest cam? I damaged it but don't want to throw away the camera, which is working fine. I can't find this part anywhere.

Hoping to use the camera indoors sitting on a shelf, not screwed down.

I'm just another Google Nest customer and have posted this numerous times now. Google Nest does not sell any spare parts. However, Google Nest Support (https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp) might provide one if you are under the 1-year warranty.

At the end of the thread below, another customer found a 3rd-party source that sells magnets that you might be able to use:

hi Jenelyn,

I haven't bought that magnet just yet. I built an awkward plywood enclosure to hold the camera and it has been adequate so far. But it would be a lot better if it were possible to just buy a replacement part for the original magnetic base. If that should ever prove to be possible, I hope someone will let me know.
