wired doorbell keeps ringing

I had a nest doorbell (wired) installed just before Christmas.  I set the notifications to show a person or package.  Unfortunately my door bell rings every time a car drives past at night, a bird flies past the porch, someone walks down the sidewalk and if it’s snowing or blowing outside.  At first I went to the door each time.  Now I look at the video feed.  Any suggestions on how to remedy this to ring only for a person or package?
