Adding a device in Chromecast

When I try to add a device (SONY DVD Player) it only shows three types of devices; TV, Sound bar, AV Receiver.  How do I add my DVD player so that I can use the INPUT button on the Chromecast remote?

I totally understand that this is a great addition to what your Chromecast remote can control, but this isn’t available. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it, here's how.
