After update unable to cast

Everything was working well enough but i foolishly updated the Google home app now im unable to cast from a website or even YouTube.

Welcome to our new forums community, we're happy to have you here. We appreciate the heads up on this issue and are sorry that you are experiencing it. It can be pretty frustrating when things don't work the way the should. I'd love to see what I can do to help out.

First, I'd like to ask some questions to make sure I understand.

  • So you are no longer able to cast from your mobile device at all? Have you tried different apps like Netflix or other streaming services?
  • What exactly happens when you try to cast? Does it give you an error message?

You may have already done this since you mentioned things were working before, but if you could please, just double check casting requirements listed in the article below.

Requirements for Chromecast devices
