Apple TV Plus kills headphones

Apple TV Plus worked for a couple of hours. But then it stopped. Every time I enter Apple app, it kills the headphone connection across all apps. The only fix is a cold reboot. This happens on a Bluetooth headset connected directly to the Chromecast and a wireless headset connected to the TV. I'm at my wits end. But if it can kill the sound across the entire device, that's a serious problem. Help?

I'm really sorry about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that headphone issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I would be pretty annoyed if my sound kept dying when I was trying to watch shows! Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • Is your Chromecast firmware up-to-date?
  • Have you tried deleting the cached data, or re-installing the Apple TV app?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
