My chromecast w Google TV has just started showing artefacts on the screen today. See attached pics
I noticed them first in the home screen, then also in any apps and when playing video content.
Restarting the CC hasn't fixed it. Changing HDMI port doesn't fix it.
It's not the TV because it doesn't happen on free to air or the built in apps.

I reset the Chromecast and it seems to be working again.

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please check if the Chromecast firmware is updated? I understand that you've mentioned that the issue is not with the TV, but please try to plug in your Chromecast into a different TV screen to isolate the issue. Restarting your router and resetting your Chromecast might also help.
