Audio stream stops once a day

every day somewhere between 13:00 and 17:00 the audio stream stops, because chromecast audio requests a new IP-address. In my router I see following sequences:
Jan ############:48:15 Arcadyan VRV9517 v6 daemon.info dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 54:60:09:ea:e4:aa (Chromecast-Audio) via br0

Jan ############:48:16 Arcadyan VRV9517 v6 daemon.info dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.2.204 to 54:60:09:ea:e4:aa (Chromecast-Audio) via br0
Jan ############:48:16 Arcadyan VRV9517 v6 daemon.info dhcpd: Reclaiming not used lease 192.168.2.204.
Jan ############:48:16 Arcadyan VRV9517 v6 daemon.info dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.2.204 (192.168.2.254) from 54:60:09:ea:e4:aa (Chromecast-Audio) via br0
Jan ############:48:16 Arcadyan VRV9517 v6 daemon.info dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.2.204 to 54:60:09:ea:e4:aa (Chromecast-Audio) via br0

within a few seconds chromecast audio is back. I have to restart the broadcasting app.
I assign a static IP-address to chromecast audio, I rebooted the router.
I reset chromecast audio to factory settings, reconfigured and restarted. Nothing works.

Is your new router dual-band capable? If so, you want to make sure each of its network bands has its own SSID and different passwords to avoid network confusion when using the Chromecast Audio since it can only remember one network band at a time.
Testing it now. Disadvantage for common users is that CCA is in a different wifi network, so you have to switch wifi-networks to start/stop streams,

Jennifer,

thank you for your reply.

I did several tests, but I still don’t know exactly why it’s happening.
1. other frontend apps like Juke (durch) and RADIO.NET (german) streaming to  chromecast audio (CCA) a dhcpdiscover occurs at about 16:00 and the stream stops.
2. When CCA is active without a frontend app streaming to it nothing happens, so no dhcpdiscover occurs from 14:############:00

3. one time I noticed the streaming through bluetooth in stead of CCA stopped. CCA was active,

4. The start of streaming does not seam to influance the time the streaming stops. Last 3 times streaming stopped at almost the same: time: 16:28:47, 16:01:16, 16:01:38.

It seams that something in the network forces the frontend to stop. If connected to CCA it triggers CCA to do a dhcpdiscover.

At this moment i have no idea what really happens. It looks like a frontend app issue. May be it is designed this way, because of advertisements or something like that. I asked one of the frontend developers his/her opinion but did not get an answer yet.
