Black Screen After Turning On

Kaks
Community Member
I recently purchased a Chromecast with Google Tv and connected it to an LG LM63 TV. When I turned it for the first time, it went on without  a hitch. I then sucess  fully set it up and start streaming a movie.

After that, i switched to the HDMI port 2 to play some games on my Xbox. After that I turned off my TV for about 30 minutes and turned on the TV and switched it to the Port 1 and the screen went black.

I tried restarting and plugging out the cables but nothing is working.

If anyone has the answer, ping me Asap.

Try unplugging the tv for 10 minutes. Completely unplug it from the power, this guide here helped me in resolving the issue. Shine a flashlight on your screen, if you see a picture then you might need to contact a technician for help.

Hi folks,

Thanks again for helping here, @swen73. @Kaks, I hope you've got the answer you're looking for. In addition, doing a sequential reboot will also work starting with your WiFi router/modem followed by your TV, then your Chromecast with Google TV. Restarting your phone might also help.

If you're still in need of any assistance, feel free to let us know.

Cheers,

Dan

Hi Mickey00,

To confirm, do you still have issues with your TV? Does it have a built-in or external Chromecast device?

Cheers,

Muddi
