I have a Nest Hub 2 and a UN49KS8000 Samsung TV. If I ask my Nest Hub 2 to play a video on YouTube while the TV is off, the TV will turn on, but no video will play, the CC will only go to the home screen.
How can I get the CC to turn on and play the video in one Nest Hub command?

The app I am trying to play is YouTube.

Hey there ldclark,
I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that Assistant issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I know the Chromecast and the Assistant don't work the way we think it will sometimes. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

This has happened since day 1 of using the CCwGTV. I had it preordered on launch. I am on latest firmware and Home app. The reliability of the CCwGTV is about 50% when it comes to receiving commands from the Nest Hub 2. I have tried on multiple TVs and through multiple providers (Disney+, Hulu). It's just frustrating to use without a remote.

Hey there Idclark,
After testing out the commands myself, it looks like I am also having the same issues on my end. I'm not sure if this is an intended feature, or an issue with communication between the devices. Regardless, would you be willing to re-create the issue, then submit feedback via the Google Home app with logs enabled? That way, our engineering team can look deeper into this interaction.
As for using the Chromecast with Google TV without a remote, you can always use the digital remote on the Google Home app for easier control.
I hope that helps, let me know if you had any other questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Jeran

I don't think so. I'll try to submit feedback in the app.

Hey there ldclark,
No problem, thank you for submitting feedback on that. While Google won't respond directly back to you when you submit feedback, they take all forms of submitted feedback seriously, especially when you submit the device logs with the issue. In the meantime, I'll go ahead and lock up the thread for now. If you run into any more issues in the future, feel free to create a new thread.
Have a good one!
Best regards,
Jeran
