Can I get Chromecast w/ Google TV to not ruin my OLED, instead of pushing BS ads?

God, I love advertisement capitalism! I love that I upgraded my Chromecast to a Chromecast with Google TV (for 4K) support and now I get to see INFINITELY MORE **bleep**ING ADS. Great! So great!

Anyway, now when I cast music to my Chromecast, not only does it forcibly power on my OLED, it doesn't even **bleep**ing open the casted app. Instead it opens the almost ENTIRELY STATIC home screen.

It's gonna **bleep**ing ruin and burn in my brand new OLED. My old Chromecast has NONE of these issues.

So, how do I disable this Google TV bull**bleep** and get back to the basic Chromecast experience? Otherwise I'm returning both of these. I didn't pay to have ads stuck on my god **bleep** screen.

Actually, I was just in the Chromecast wallpaper interface, I start casting Spotify again and sure enough it takes me back to the F U C K I N G HOMESCREEN.

You are RIDICULOUS Google. I will be contacting the Store to return both devices.

And returns are in progress. Sorry Google, I'm not PAYING you to (1) show me ads and (2) ruin my brand new OLED.

LMAO, GOOGLE CANT EVEN PROCESS THE RETURNS. She has to put me on hold to get help doing returns. Man I was an idiot for breaking my rule of never buying more crap from Google.

BTW IT seems like Ambient Mode and App Only mode gets you pretty close. I'm going to have to test more first.

Instead if shouting and cursing like an uneducated individual, you need to take some time to learn how to use the Chromecast with Google TV device.

I also use it and I can assure you that I do not get any advertising on my screen.

Furthermore, when you want to cast music, why don't you simply setup your Chromecast device to turn off the display.

Alternatively, for music listening only, you can use Bluetooth audio built-in speakers or a soundbar, connected to your Chromecast device via Bluetooth.
