Can I use Google Chrome Cast TV with my Window Desktop

I just bought (November 26)  a Google Chrome Cast TV  Snow .

The sales clerk told me I did not need a cellphone but could cast my Windows 10 Desktop to my PC. My Roku works great but I can't get Google Chrome Desktop to work. The computer store was evicted by Bailiff December 1 2021.

You can cast from Chrome on your desktop computer.

Note: it also depends on what content/webpage you are trying to use.

But, you will probably need a cellphone or a tablet that can run the Google Home app to do the setup on your Chromecast device (one time) before you can cast to it (I don't 100% remember if you could do all the steps using the on-screen prompts with the Chromecast with Google TV device).
