I have had my chrome cast set up for years and the other day it disconnect. When I tried to reconnect I kept getting the message error “can not communicate with iPhone” etc
I have tried every solution to fix it but it hasn’t worked
I’ve hard reset the chrome cast
Turned mobile off and on
Turned Wi-Fi on and off
Reset my router
Unplugged the chrome cast for 10 minutes
Deleted the home from Google home
Re-downloaded Google home app
Tried connecting from another device
you name it I’ve tried it!
Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. To cover all the bases, if you're using an iOS device, please make sure the local network access is turned on in your phone settings. Also, try to manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone Settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
