Can't get my Samsung Q6 tv to work properly with Google Home.

I connected my Google Chromecast to my Samsung Q6 TV. It went through the steps and seemed to be fine, but when I try to get the TV to turn on or do anything via voice through speakers or hub, it won't work. Not sure what to do or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there Demmoman,

 

I'm sorry to hear that your Chromecast is giving you some issues. This can be a bit tricky to troubleshoot these kinds of problems since there are so many devices involved, so I'd be happy to help out! First, what color is the LED light on the Chromecast? If there is any kind of error light, that could point out the issue. Secondly, it may be an issue with HDMI-CEC. I would check which HDMI ports on your TV support HDMI-CEC, and change the Chromecast to that port. There may also be a setting on the TV that could affect this as well.
