Can’t setup remote buttons for Hisense 55R7 TV

Mr_Mezzy

When I try to setup my Google TV remote to control the power/volume/input of my Hisense 55R7 TV, none of the 16 available code sets for Hisense devices work.

I’ve tried setting the buttons up using other various TV brand codes but with no luck.   I am able to get the remote to work with my other JVC TV, just not my Hisense TV.
Has anyone been able to get their Hisense TV to work with the Google TV remote?

Thanks

Hey there Mr_Mezzy,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! Were you able to figure out that remote issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out! Let me just ask, is Hisense not available as an option, or does the option for Hisense not work? Either way, what has worked for users in the past is searching up TV remote codes and finding a brand that shares the same code as their TV.

I hope that helps you out! If you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran

Thanks very much for the reply Jeran,

No, I still haven't gotten the remote issue to work. Hisense is available as an option, but none of the (16) codesets work.  I looked up Hisense in the TV remote codes that you sent me, and Samsung is the only other TV that I found that uses 1249 as the code.  So I tried setting up my remote by using the Samsung TV codes, but none of those worked either. Any other ideas how I can get this working?

Thanks mate

Hey there Mr_Mezzy,

Again, I'm terribly sorry for the slow response times! I got into contact with the engineering team on this issue, and they have been receiving cases from folks where they are unable to set up their Chromecast Voice Remotes on certain models of TVs, even if the brand of TV is a part of the list in the settings. In this particular case, all we can do for now is ask that you submit feedback via Google TV stating the issue and your make and brand of TV for our engineering team to look into.

I'm sorry I could not do more for you, but if you had any other question or concern for me, please let me know.

Best regards,

Jeran
