Can't sign in to Chromecast with Google Account

Hi,

I have used my chromecast with google TV without issues along with nest displays and multiple nest speakers for over a year.  About a month ago all devices stopped working. I've changed my router from Huawei CPE Pro 5G to ZTE MC801A  but it didn't help. I've factory reset all the devices, split signal to separate 2.4 and 5Ghz, created hotspot with an iPhone to check in multiple configurations and used 4 different google accounts to try to sign in with no luck... Initial recognition and setup of the device/s is as usual through google home app, everything always fails on signing into google account stage. Please help as I'm running out of ideas.

Quick questions — what type of Chromecast device do you have? What message are you getting when attempting to sign in your Google Account in the Google Home app? 

 

Try these steps:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  • Make sure your phone's OS is updated. 
  • Reset your Google Account password.
  • Reboot your mobile phone.
  • Use a different mobile device.
