I have basically the same problem, but with a Dell PC running Google Chrome Version 100.0.4896.127.

I can cast the desktop but not a tab on some webpages.

I found a workaround. Download Google Canary. This allows you to cast tabs. I hope that helps you.

Pigman, how's it going? Still need help with this? If so, please check if you can cast a tab using a different computer (if applicable) and reinstall the Chrome browser. Rebooting your Dell PC might also help. You can also try the suggested step shared by NessaB.
