I have changed wifi routers uninstalled app and for some reason it automatically reverts to searching to the old network and maintains the same designated name ie bedroom tv I also says cannot communicate with Chromecast while linking to the new network even though the details seem to be be working. Help

If you don't have acces to the previous WiFi network, you have to hard reset the Chromecast device and perform the entire setul procedure.

How do you do a hard reset?

With the Chromecast plugged into the TV, hold down the side button on the dongle for 25 seconds or more, waiting for the white LED to start blinking red.
Once the LED steadily turns white, let go, and the Chromecast will reboot to complete the reset process.
