Cannot sign in to YouTube TV on Google Chromecast with Google TV

Login to You Tube TV on the Chromecast with Google TV device suddenly stopped working.  When selecting You Tube TV it comes up to "Try it Free" or "Member Login."  I select member login, select my email address and then it goes back to the first screen again.   I am able to login to You Tube TV on my phone and cast to my TV.   Seems to be a problem with the app on the device.

Tried clearing cache and data for the YT app - no difference.

Tried uninstalling YT app and reinstalling - no difference. 

Tried restarting the Chrome cast device - no difference.

Tried updating Chromecast device system - but it was already up to date.

Thoughts?

There is a known issue with YouTube services:

Google is working on it.

Exact same problem started today (04]12]2022). I am disappointed that there is no solution posted. The Youtube TV app works via the Amazon Firestick but not the Chromcast device!

Hi folks,

 

The issue has been fixed. You should now be able to log in, switch between accounts, and use the account menu & navigation bar across all services (YouTube, YouTubeTV,  YouTube Music, YouTube Studio) and devices. Check the info here.
