Cast HD only no 4K from Netflix or Prime

New Chromecast with Google TV (4K) will not cast to Samsung 4K TV, only cast in 1080 HD. The Chromecast is plugged directly into Yamaha a/v receiver that supports 4K 60Hz. Samsung native apps (Netflix, Prime) work fine with 4K resolution. Strong 5G wi-fi signal at 100 Mps

Hi PRB51,

Thanks for reaching out. Could you please try to plug in the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) directly in the HDMI port on your Samsung TV and check if the same issue will persist? Also, make sure your receiver's firmware version is updated.

Rebooting Wi-Fi did not help.

Would it be useful to see screen capture of TV/Netflix/Chromecast data?

Reset and rebooted and we can still only cast HD signal. No ultra HD even with a premium subscription with Netflix!
