Casting a zoom recording

Cmccart3

Hi everyone I have setup my chromecast and can cast my tv apps perfectly to the screen. I'm not sure what is wrong or what I am doing wrong however. I wanted to cast a zoom recording  from chrome browser and the casting icon appears, it allows me to select the device and it's says "casting to living room tv". However my tv screen shows the Google chrome logo and nothing more. But the screen shows all the info as if it's successfully casting, pause button and copy says "now casting".  I'm missing something really obvious I'm sure but it's been so easy to use to date I maybe presumed this zoom recording would work. It's a recording of an exercise class and I thought it would be nicer to follow along on a larger screen than my phone. Maybe it's the TV.or a version differnce..I'm casting from chrome in a Google pixel 4a. Thanks in advance!

Hey there Cmccart3,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for your patience! Were you able to fix that casting issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • What version of Google Home are you using?
  • Are you able to cast from another website on Chrome, such as YouTube?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran
