Change Chromecast Name

I'm having trouble setting up a different name for my Chromecast. I have an Android TV and a Chromecast and they are both listed as "living room TV", I would like to change the name for the Chromecast only. Everything on the websites all over aren't directing me to the right place. I can't edit anything on Google home. Please help.

Hi Tyletz,

Are you logged into your Google account that is the same as the account you used for your Chromecast? Both devices (phone and Chromecast) are using the same wifi?

 

If so, open the Home app, choose the Chromecast from list as you scroll down. Once the device card is open choose the cog, then press Device information, Device name and retype over the old name.

If that doesn't work, try clearing the Google Home app's cache and reboot your phone.

If you are still running into trouble post a screenshot here of any errors etc.
