I recently got a new phone, S22 Ultra, and I wasn't able to cast to my existing Chromecast, so I did a factory reset, and now I'm not able to get the device to connect to the internet, manually or otherwise. I have tried all recommended troubleshooting steps including additional factory resets, reboots of the router, my phone, and the Chromecast. I deleted my home and created a new home, I turned off band steering on my router and tried to connect directly to the 5 GHz band and 2.4 GHz both. Unplugged Chromecast and router for about 10 minutes, another factory reset, and still unable to connect. I'm using an AT& T wireless router that has been in place for at least 2 years, and has never had an issue before. Device is less than 20 ft from the router, and I'm about 8 ft.

Hi Skyshatterii,
Thanks for reaching out and for doing some steps beforehand — these are of great help! To cover all the bases, could you please turn on the Location Services setting in your phone? You may also try to use a different mobile phone if one is available.
If the issue persists, please connect to the Chromecast SSID? Here's how: Go to the phone settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Location services is turned on for the Home app. I have tried connecting to the Chromecast SSID on two separate devices. Neither was successful. I also have tried manually setting my 5 GHz channel to 44

Hey there,
Thanks for the swift reply. Could you please try setting up your Chromecast using a mobile hotspot and check if the same issue will persist?
Thanks,
Jennifer

I am able to connect it with a hotspot. No option to change the network on Home

Hello Skyshatterii,
Thanks for the update. You can follow the steps here on how to change the Wi-Fi network if your Chromecast is still connected to your mobile hotspot. Also, since it connects to the hotspot, you might need to contact your internet service provider or your router manufacturer to check some settings in your Wi-Fi network.
Thanks,
Jennifer
