Chromcast with Google TV not getting update

I have tried manual searching for updates but nothing there.

My chromcast has security patch level 1 July 2022.

Android TV OS build STTE.220621.019.A2.9082754

Are there really no newer version? My Chromcast work like crap with sound stutter all the time.

Hey there foo,

Welcome to the Chromecast Community Forum! If you check out this article on the current Chromecast firmware versions, it does show that the Android security patch level was last updated in July 2022. The Chromecast with Google TV HD received an update in October 2022. If your sound is stuttering, I'd be happy to help you figure it out. What is your current set-up?

I get micro pauses in the sound around ever 15 seconds.

I use a 4k TV. I have tested every combination of display settings on the chromecast. The only way to get it working properly is to let the Chromecast output 4k at 25 fps, which is not an option. This in almost all streaming apps.

The Chromecast gets a stabil 250 Mbit/s Internet connection. No other devices in the network have any problems. No other devices connected to the tv has any problems.

The chromecast is factory reset several times.

Hey there foo,

I'm sorry for the late response, and thank you for being patient! In this case, try changing the HDMI port that the Chromecast is plugged into to see if the problem persists across outlets. I would also check if changing the TV to the same video settings as the Chromecast would help as well. For example, have both set to 4k 60 FPS. I would also check if the sound settings on the TV match the sound settings on the Chromecast. For example, both are using Dolby Digital Plus.
