Chrome cast Remote locked

My chrome cast remote has the light on solidly and is locked and will not work. Have changed the batteries, made sure no buttons were pressed in and tried to do a factory reset but it won’t work.

Kimr7426 and newton, do you still need help? If yes and you're done resetting the Chromecast Voice Remote, please also try to reset the Chromecast dongle and test.
