Chrome cast with Google tv only shows Netflix as a searchable app

I recently bought a Chromecast with Google TV. I have several different services including Plex HBO Max Hulu prime video Paramount and peacock. When I search for a movie or show it doesn't search any app but Netflix. Under Google Assistant and searchable apps I only see Netflix. How do I add additional searchable apps?

Hey there,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.

I understand that these issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Please let me know.

Best regards,
Garrett DS

Yes. I am trying to figure out if the other streaming apps library show up when requesting a show using Google Assistant

Hey Freddyq,

Yes, you can have other apps show up in your search results! You'll just want to make sure that Google TV knows about your services to include in the results, here is how to access those settings:

Go to Settings > Account > Accounts & Sign-in > Your Profile > Your Services > Other Services. From there, you can toggle the services that you use!

Give that a try and let me know if that works out for you!

Best regards,

Jeran

What about under searchable apps. It only shows Netflix. Is that normal?

I checked my Searchable Apps as well under the Assistant Settings, and it does look like Netflix is currently the only option. I'm not too sure why only Netflix appears as an option, so if you had some particular applications you'd want to add there, I'd suggest you submit feedback via Google TV, because I know I use more than just Netflix myself.

I have met the same situation as you.Since I haven't subscribed Netflix,I can only get the results from youtube when I give the voice command to Google Assistant.Under the Google Assistant Settings, the options for “Searchable Apps” only include Netflix but any other apps I have installed such as viki and Emby for Android TV.
