My chromecast has a solid orange light, nothing on the screen but not signal from the tv itselft, Google home app is not recognizing the device either, and after trying a factory reset, the light is still orange, after 3 mins of pressing the button, nothing happens, HEEEELP!!!

I'm sorry, but that's not good.
Try using a different power source (outlet, block, and cable if you can) and try resetting it when it is NOT connected to a TV.
If none of those work, your Chromecast device is probably dead.

Hey there,
I'm really sorry that your Chromecast is giving you issues, were you able to factory reset that device and get it working again? If so, I'll go ahead and lock up this thread in 24 hours.
Just checking up,
Jeran

I'm real sorry that your Chromecast died after such a short period of time. It's a possibility that it may have been bricked during an update if it lost power at any point. Sadly, the limited warranty on those devices is only a year in the USA and Canada. However, if you had any questions or concerns for us, I'd be happy to help out in any way I can.
Best regards,
Jeran
